It's Big Brother Eve Eve, and all over Twitter, the nervous energies of the BB faithful are preparing their final moments of freedom, saying goodbye to pets and loved ones, stocking the fridge, laundering the pajamas, setting the DVR, checking their feed logins, rebooting their computers, and generally preparing for the Wednesday night launch of 100 Days of Big Brother.
I had a little difficulty logging into my live feeds account on iPad myself this week. It's been resolved now, but I've got this sense of dread about whether or not CBS is really prepared for the onslaught of manic feed viewers they're about to have to manage.
Does anyone remember the season Real re-launched their player at the last minute to massive crashes? We saw mass rage, internet petitions, threats of lawsuits, and general wailing and gnashing from the fanbase. Now that Real is no longer around as a buffer, CBS is going to take the brunt of the pain if they don't get it right, and I'm not quite sure that they know what they're in for.
In other news, welcome to new BBPBP contributor Getting Lost! I hope you all saw the BBUK blog posted earlier today. Ash will also be contributing periodically, and you can still check out her other work, including her awesome overnight feed reports, at Big Brother Gossip. That's not the last surprise for the summer - this site may be new, but we've got some interesting stuff in development, so please, stick around. And the fun might not be limited just to this site.
Now excuse me while I try to try to get some laundry done, because, it's Big Brother Eve Eve.
(...pation!)
I'm so excited!! And I'm doing most of the things listed in this blog. Thanks for the plug! I look forward to reading the Play by Play this year. =)
